Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
Terrace + Tide is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to browse our collections, learn about our brands, and get in touch with our showroom, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We are continually improving the experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Measures We Take
To help make terracetide.com accessible, we:
- Design and build the site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target standard.
- Treat accessibility as part of ongoing site maintenance rather than a one-time project.
- Provide descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and mark decorative imagery so screen readers skip it.
- Structure pages with proper headings, landmarks, and unique page titles for efficient screen reader navigation.
- Label form fields and provide clear error messages on our contact, newsletter, and appointment forms.
- Aim for sufficient contrast between text and background, and avoid using color alone to convey meaning.
- Support keyboard-only navigation, including visible focus indicators on links and buttons.
- Test pages on desktop and mobile devices across a range of screen sizes and zoom levels.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, at three levels: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
terracetide.com is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Fully conformant” means that the content meets all of the Level AA success criteria. Our most recent review, completed on 7 August 2026, combined automated testing of every page against the WCAG 2.1 A and AA success criteria with manual keyboard, zoom, and screen-reader checks, and found no outstanding Level AA issues. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment: we re-test as we add pages and features, and if an issue is introduced we correct it promptly.
Known Limitations
The following area depends on a provider outside our direct control. It does not represent an unmet Level AA criterion, but we monitor it and offer the alternative described below:
- Embedded location map. The showroom map on our contact page is a Google Maps embed, so we do not control its code. Our address and directions are also written out as text on that page, and we are glad to give directions by phone.
Compatibility With Browsers and Assistive Technology
terracetide.com is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers — including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge — on desktop and mobile, used together with common assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnification, and voice recognition software. The site may not perform as expected in browsers or assistive technologies more than two major versions out of date.
Technical Specifications
Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies to work with your browser and any assistive technologies installed on your device: HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript. These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
Assessment Approach
Terrace + Tide assesses the accessibility of this website through internal self-evaluation, including automated accessibility testing tools, manual keyboard-only navigation checks, and review of page structure and content as pages are added or updated.
